#1 Run chkdsk in  Safe Mode

In order to launch the program in safe mode, you have to restart your system and when it is loading press F8 continuously. You will see a window appear on your screen after pressing the key combination. In this window click ‘Safe Mode With Networking’.

Once your system boots in safe mode, run chkdsk using administrative privileges. Chkdsk /F

#2 Check for malware infection with Kaspersky Internet Security 2013
