Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

TCan we use this method of activating dark mode on old version of Vlc?

No, This method only works with latest versions of the app so don’t try it with old versions too. If you are using an older version of Vlc then update it first before doing anything else. So make sure you download the latest version of VLC from the official website.

My phone doesn’t support VLC dark mode, even after following the steps.

The method only works with Android Nougat and above in our experience so if you are not running the proper Android version then it may not work for you. If possible update your device with the latest android version to use this feature. Click here to know How To Upgrade Android Version.

I always get ‘Interface is Currently Unavailable’ when trying to enable a dark theme on vlc player

If you are getting this type of error, please uninstall the previous version you had installed before using this trick and install it again from the play store. But if the same problem occurs when installing a new app too, Then update or upgrade your android to the latest version
