Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
This section is all about frequently asked questions which you will face when you are trying to recover deleted Facebook ad campaign.
When should I use the Start Over feature?
Start over allows advertisers to completely re-create a saved draft instead of changing copy, audience, etc. For instance, if your objective isn’t being achieved or the data doesn’t look right in a test ad set, or there’s a typo, you can start over and create a new draft ad set with the same objective, bid strategy, and targeting.
What happens when I click on “Start Over” for an active campaign?
When you choose to start over for an active campaign, all of your existing settings will be replaced by those in the new ad draft. However, your social ad account level data, such as billing information or consent choices, won’t change.
How do I know if my campaign is recoverable?
If you click “View All”, it’ll show all campaigns, whether they’re running or not. Then, you can check the box next to your deleted campaign and click Recover Draft on the top right corner of the page under Actions.
This will bring up another window that says, “You have selected a saved draft that isn’t active.” Clicking Continue would load your campaign without any data attached to it (no likes, no link), but it’d be there for editing purposes.
How do I set my new recovered ad live?
To start your newly recovered draft ad, highlight it again, click Edit again at the top-right corner of the page, then choose Start Over in step 12 above. Then let us know that it has started working by giving us feedback! 🙂
